Grupos versus redes CCK12
CONNECTIVISM, A LEARNING THEORY OR A NECESSARY SKILL FOR MODERN LEARNING? #CCK12
'cher red, 'Cher Red
Connectivism has been proposed as an alternative learning theory particularly in the age of modern digital technology. As discussed by Robertson in a video lecture (2007), it is true that most of the prior learning theories such as constructivism and cognitism were proposed before our major leaps into the internet revolution happened, and therefore, the possibility of needing a new theory to explain how we learn may be timely. But is CONNECTIVISM, as described by its two main proponents, .... [Link] 2012-02-25T00:53:00.003-08:00 [Comment]

#Change11 #CCK12 A summary of reflection on Theory of Learning – Connectivism
suifaijohnmak, Learner Weblog
Here is my response to Jaap in my previous post. A learning theory is a modelling of the learning, and in the case of Connectivism – Networked learning which focuses on learning as making connections.  This is based on the epistemology … Continue reading → [Link] Fri, 24 Feb 2012 23:15:51 +0000 [Comment]

Who's afraid of social media? CCK12
Steve Hennessey, 697 - 'Cher Red, February 25, 2012.

I believe it can be a valuable tool and is used to assist in learning. I worry that we are forcing it on many who do not think in that realm and its being introduced, like everything else in the last century at such a fast pace and that others are being left behind. Its almost like a social media darwinism. In order to use this as an effective learning tool for many we need to facilitate the teaching of these tools to many and not just introduce it and expect people to know, understand and [Comment]
